Pain-Relief Classes
I’m looking for yoga classes that won’t put the hurt on me and/or safe movement classes that will help me strengthen my body but also relieve my persistent pain / won’t make me feel inadequate or “yoga inept”!
I teach yoga classes that won’t put the hurt on you after, move & strengthening classes that are specifically designed to relieve pain, and nervous system reset classes to bring your nervous system out of fight or flight mode and into a parasympathetic rest and digest state so healing can occur.
I’m looking for ways to support my nervous system, decrease tension in my body, get rid of trauma-related physical sensations, and relieve my super busy / overactive mind.

1:1 Services
I’m looking for a customized movement plan and functional muscle assessment to determine the muscle systems of my body that are not working properly, thus creating pain.
I offer a 60-minute 1:1 Functional Muscle Assessment with me that involves a series of movement tests to determine the muscle system that is not working properly, and where the neuromuscular communication is disrupted the most so that I can develop a customized sequence for you to get it working properly again.
I also work 1:1 in a therapeutic / coaching format to offer relief from trauma-related pain.
Pain-Relief Program
This is a 6-week educational and movement series that does a deep dive into what muscle tightness and pain really means, why we want to stop stretching and start activating instead, and what movements can relieve knee, hip, back, shoulder, sciatica, and neck pain.
I highly recommend this program for those that have had body changes after having children or surgeries, or have artificial parts and pieces and are still rehabbing after PT.

I combine my professional experience as a yoga teacher, muscle activation practitioner, and licensed mental health counselor to support people in their journey to being pain-free and cultivating strength, stability, and confidence in body, mind, and spirit.

Yoga Classes That Won't Put The Hurt On Me
In-person, virtual, and on-demand options for those who are looking for full yoga classes without being in pain for days after.
My classes are a fusion of slow moving Hatha movements and Kundalini-influenced kriyas. They include asana, breath work, mantra, and meditation.
These classes are great for strengthening the body and mind, and supporting the nervous system.
Beginning yogis and all body types are welcome. If you have injuries that prevent you from sitting on a mat or doing most yoga poses, please check out my Pain-Relief Movement classes instead.

In-person or virtual ongoing classes and on-demand videos are also available to those who have taken the 6-week program and want to maintain a personal practice.
These classes are safe for all physical issues and injuries, and are great for those who have challenges sitting on a mat, being on hands and knees, or generally feel regular yoga/exercise classes are discouraging.

While you might have a couple areas of muscle weakness, we will be starting with the biggest culprit so you can work toward being pain-free.
These sessions are for those who are willing to do the recommended movements at home for continued results.

A way to support my nervous system, relieve tension in my body including trauma-related sensations, and my super-busy overactive mind.
In-person, virtual, and on-demand classes for those who are experiencing a lot of physical tension and tightness, have a busy mind, are prone to anxiousness, and/or are aware they have trauma-related somatic symptoms.
These are NOT yoga classes, rather we engage in very slow and intentional vagus nerve movements that help bring your nervous system out of fight or flight mode and into a parasympathetic rest and digest state so healing can occur.
This class may also include some breathwork, Tapping (EFT), and meditation.

I am a HUGE supporter of animal welfare so I donate a percentage of my proceeds to various organizations and to The Friends of Anne Arundel Animal Care & Control, my local animal shelter here in Annapolis (of which I am a regular volunteer).
